Is rwanda really the best option for deportation? Even if you want to close the borders, the rwanda plan is massively expensive and so far has accomplished fuck all. Channel crossings are still increasing at a rapid pace from countries that aren’t even in a civil war. At least Syrian refugees were escaping from an actual conflict
Should have stayed in France then or any other safe country you travelled through on your way to milk the British tax payer
The government will find a way to overturn any ruling that goes against them, or they will just find an equally intolerable (but legal) way to deal with asylum seekers instead. The Rwanda policy is just one method the Tories will use to punish people for trying to claim asylum in the UK. If you think this will stop them then you do not know the Tories.
Given how utterly toothless our judicial system is, I very much doubt this will ever happen even if it is given the green light.
In any case, given the number of economic migrants still crossing the channel, this has also clearly failed to achieve what was clearly its primary purpose of deterring people from making necessary channel crossing.
If this policy is found legal within the confines of the UN refugee convention then expect other countries to follow suit. Interesting times.
I bet these illegals won’t be wolf whistling at the underage Girl’s in Rwanda they’ll get what they deserve in a country like that..
