Why do they bother to mention the price of the food or how it caters to the 1%?
I always suspected that this environmental activism is just pushing authoritative socialism via the back door. This article shows they’re not even subtle about it.
Getting thrown out? That’s one way to avoid food poisoning.
Aren’t they wasting their time there? There’s nothing interesting there except that one time their when they had their foie gras. It was out of this world
I’m a veggie and I’ve eaten in there as they do have vegetarian options and quite frankly I’d be happy to see them chucked out as they do nothing other than damage the cause they are supposedly fighting for. There is a big uptake in vegetarian and vegan diets and anyone at least casually interested in this is going to be put off by their association.
If you want to effect change, demanding will get you nowhere. Educating and enabling will and they aren’t doing a damn thing in that department.
I was there, had never been to a fancy place before but was a special occasion, actually helped me feel a lot more comfortable after this happened.
It lasted about 10 minutes, security did attempt to convince them to leave before dragging them out and even then it was their choice to just flop to the ground and be dragged, it didn’t really seem violent.
I did hear the other diner tell them to get a life but didn’t hear any threat, he was pretty much just complaining about these protests loudly to them.
I had no clue what they was protesting for the entire time, feels like they literally sat down for the quick photo to make it on the news and exaggerate anything that happened to make it appear bigger.
Unfortunately the protestors are right. We *must* transition to a plant-based food system: it’s a moral, environmental and human health imperative
Arrogant Douchebags. Just let people eat their meals in peace! Better ways to go about this…
