  1. I was not able to lookup prices for enovos Enodrive card. But for those subscribed to Sudstroum it seems that the price of the kWh has more than doubled.
From 0,335cts/kWh to 0,695cts/kWh for the simples 22kW chargers.

  2. That’s disgusting. Costs more to charge an electric car than to buy gas at those extortionary rates. Might as well stick to a gas car if we are going to get ripped off like that

  3. Corporate greed and government failure showing all at once. It’s time to regulate these companies and hold our government accountable

  4. I am expecting to receive a new EV on February, this is rather worrying.

My new car is Opel Corsa-e with 50kWh battery (280km range at speed of 90km/h at 20 degrees celsius), if charging cost is 0.6950 Euros/kWh, fully charging this Corsa-e will be 34.75 Euros from 0.34.75 Euros/280km = **0.124 Euros per km Electric car running cost**

Before the price incease 0.335 Euros/kWh, running cost would be 0.0598 Euros per km, which is not cheap but cheaper than gasoline or diesel.

My Hyndai i30 Disel has average fuel consumption of 4.8l/100km (from 31000km driven) Considering current Diesel price 1.60 Euros/l, that’s 7.68 Euros per 100km7.68/100 = **0.0768 Euros per km Hyundai i30 Diesel running cost**

Which means **running cost of new electric vehicle will be 61% higher than Diesel car for me!!**

Unless you have charger at home, running bev is not worth it. I don’t have a garage and will have to use chargy station…..darn. (Lucky that I went for 2 years lease instead of buying it)

They all talk about ECO ECO ECO and Carbon footprint everywhere, but in reality there is really not much benefit for my bank account and added inconvenience of looking for empty charging stations is a bonus.

  5. While the topic of electricity prices is up: does anybody know how much normal household electricity costs now? Really 5x up? Couldn’t find anywhere and afraid to see the amount when the year bills and consumption will be sorted out next summer.

  6. This is consequence of having incompetent government lacking any kind of vision.
Personally I will charge everyday at the office, I refuse to pay more than 7e for 60km of autonomy on my hybrid car – this is ridiculous.

  7. Wow this is crazy, just got an EV leasing for 2 years, especially to save €. Guess I will be going back to a conventional car.. But apparently prognosis for electricity prices in 2023 are also grim for other EU countries.

  8. It’s crazy that low petrol/diesel prices are supported, and yet extortionate EV charging rates are tolerated. How progressive.

  9. These prices will be lowered by a new subsidy off 33ct/kWh voted by Parliament today. RTL.lu: An der Chamber ugeholl: Mindestloun klëmmt ëm 3,2 Prozent, Holzpellets a Stroum gi plafonéiert
An der Chamber stoungen ënner anerem d’Deckele vun de Präisser vu Stroum an den Holzpellets, ma och d’Hausse vum Mindestloun um Programm. https://www.rtl.lu/news/national/a/2008392.html
Sorry couldn’t find an english source

  10. I am rooting for hydrogen even though it is still not viable due to infrastructure and production costs
