  1. If ever a lad was deserving of the mob with pitch forks it was Phil Hogan.

I will never forget Phil Hogan and his assault on the working class of this this country. He is a scrounger of the state.

He is so sure about himself even when he was telling lies. It was sweet justice for the shambles he was involved in with Irish water.

Let’s not forget the danger of this man in Europe. Brian Hayes came unscathed from this debacle another Politico who absconding to to brussels be head of the banking federation. I would honestly not let either of these lads run a drive through at McDonalds.

  2. That was a cracking example of deflection 😂 He blamed Fine Gael for entering government instead of going into opposition. He blames Leo Varadkar for abandoning election pledges. He blames stay-at-home workers (seems he still hasn’t quite wrapped his head around the ould lockdown malarkey). He kind of blames Ursula von der Leyen, which is an odd one for sure. He blames the historical timing of us being the first country to oppose a commissioner. He blames the ministers that drafted the letter. He even managed to squeeze one in about the water charges.

Didn’t seem to blame himself too much, mind

  3. There is that word populist again. Seems to mean that when a large number of people object to an outrage, it’s populist and there is something wrong with that. It’s a word you can use to undermine any oppositional activity according to FFG.

  4. Yeah, right. He probably could have hung on if he hadn’t given that disaster of an interview. It was all of his own making.

  5. People like Phil Hogan call everything that they don’t like or agree with “Populist.” Especially when they don’t want to be held accountable for their actions like normal human beings.

Also, Phil Hogan looks a lot like the guy from the Go Compare ads in that photo.

  6. Who taught these cunts the word “populist”? Could you go back and explain to them that using it in a sentence doesn’t magically make people not see how incompetent they are?

  7. _Populist_ (_adj._; FG): Relating to, or characterised by, circumstances where Fine Gael do something that appals almost the entire country. _e.g.:_ “I see Sinn Féin are opposing our Bill to slaughter all first-borns, the absolute populists”.

  8. pricks should be in jail, or at least a very hefty fine. All across the world the very people who put these restrictions on everybody broke them with no real consequences.

  9. Aww poor little rich boy 🙁

Got caught doing something bad and finally got punished for it.

This evil little shite. . . Got that EU job as a payment for introducing WATER TAXES into this country.

    IRISH WATER IS HIS FAULT.

If I ever see this back stabbing 6 figure income/pension blue shirt I will give him a swift punch in the puss.

  10. What’s the story with these tin eared attempts to whitewash rogues this week?
First Cowen and Harney, now Phil.
Are we going to have some fawning memorial for Haughey “misunderstood genius” in the weekend papers?

  11. Just remember there was still a lot of people defending Phils job when golfgate happened saying he was good at his job and got a deal to sell a load of Irish cheese to China or something.

  12. My God he comes across as unpleasant. It wasn’t a shady conspiracy to oust you Phil, you acted the bollocks, lied repeatedly about it, and suffered the consequences. The end, fuck off.

  13. Seen a few articles now on Phil Hogan’s treatment. There’s a lot of stuff in hindsight that probably seems like an overreaction, but Phil Hogan being called out for the sheer fucking audacity to fly into a country in lockdown, drive across the country, to attend a golf and dinner with 80 odd people does still not seem like an overreaction. Still feels fully justified.

So not quite sure what the purpose of these pieces are, because Hogan won’t come across as a martyr, he still comes across as an arrogant prick.
