Consumers fall into debt traps as illegal lenders exploit people in ‘credit deserts’

1. Why are our lawmakers failing to protect the desperate and vulnerable from these sharks?

2. What a useless article. Food deserts are serious, because you need food. But you do not need credit – in fact you should live without it if you cannot afford it.

   I don’t think that making more credit available in these areas would have any positive consequences.
