  1. The frustrating thing about this, aside from the fact that I’m not sure that tanking the economy is the best way to have fun whilst high, is that many of us know drug use happens and that a different approach to managing societal drug use is needed, yet this government has been threatening users with increasingly draconian punishments, all whilst snorting lines of charlie in grace and favour country mansions.

  2. Laws, arbitrary agreements made by people who are not you and applied to people who are not them.

  3. I mean, given how abysmal the company must have been I too would have needed several grams of something just to stay sane.

  4. As usual nothing will happen to them. Yet us plebs would have it stuck on our records till death and would lose out on a lot of job opportunity’s or face jail time.

  5. So when are police going to start raiding MP’s homes and work places to test for illegal substances?

  6. way more people do coke than you realise… really is a dickhead drug. Turns you into something you arent.. hate the stuff

  7. I mean, it’s a party. What’s a rich as shit party without a bit of Charlie?

Parliament? Nah mate, work sober. Party? Bring on the septum perforation, I say.

  8. I went for a job interview here. The job was head caretaker. Incredible disgusting wealth. I didn’t get the job, but I couldn’t of worked for them I would of killed them.

  9. I think the Met should increase their use of stop and search for MPs entering and leaving parliament, sounds like they are statistically more likely to be using drugs.

  10. Specific chemical detection is not so easy. These swab wipes likely react to any base – e.g. ajax, toothpaste, baking powder, soap and detergent residues. The correct approach is to send a swab sample to a lab for identification.

  11. Considering how many of parliaments toilets have traces of coke im not surprised. We’re struggling to make ends meet and they are snorting the economy up their noses

  12. “suspected cocaine”?

So it could literally be some grout falling out from between some tiles?

A bit late now she isn’t prime minister.

    Could have sensationalised this FFS!

  14. Nobody cares that they do coke. What they care about is that they shamelessly allow others to be locked up for years for the same thing.

  15. Why am I not surprised. Her 40 day reign was characterised by policies formed in a drug enhanced state of euphoria. Every sensible person realised they were fantasies as soon as the words left her lips. Haven’t seen anything of her for weeks. Guess she’s locked away in rehab together with Kwasi.

  16. Times must be tough if they’re snorting all they can afford and leaving only traces. For a while there cocaine was so ubiquitious and affordable you could use it instead of talc

  17. I’m so fed up of this weird gotcha reporting. Of course she does blow. So does everyone involved in the writing of the article. So does everyone in the political and media class. Hell most people in the UK have probably done a line or a key bump at least once.

I hate Truss but I don’t give a monkey’s if she’s a taking drugs. The only thing that matters is that she doesn’t get high at work.

  18. Ingestion of vast quantities of cocaine is the only rational explanation for the last 12.5 years

  19. Just like number 10 toilets not one gave a fuck then. I’m tired of this government, I’m tired of being pissed off and upset with they should be running the country. We didn’t even vote them in.
    I’m done.

  20. I don’t care what they do, i care that they do this while parroting outdated drugs policy, and the disastrous war on drugs.

  21. Wait, are you telling me that dirty rat politicians do cocaine?? I don’t believe it, they know drugs are bad.they say it all the time! Please tell me this a fake story to tarnish the usually upstanding political saviours that represent us poor freezing plebs….

  22. Poor person, traces of cocaine found at their home = dawn raid by police.

Rich person, traces of cocaine found at their home = …

  23. Just like they found cocaine in Johnsons bathroom in Westminster, anyone would have thought things like that would be above the Tory members.

  24. Drug use in politics, particularly cocaine because sleep is for soft people, is an open secret by now. The real issues this raises are the government (and opposition parties) hypocritical and failed approach to drug regulations and the working culture in Whitehall.

  25. Powerful people using cocaine? Surely not. I think what’s remarkable here is the choice to actually test and report.

  26. Better watch out for that bear from that movie comin out Liz. He’s gonna be after you.

On a more serious note, why hasnt she been arrested for possession, and are we really happy about having cocaine-adled lunatics in charge of our nuclear weapons?
