  1. Good. Amazon are laying people off now, so let’s stop pretending they are an endless stream of jobs for people and maybe we start to tax the ever loving god out of them?
Multiple ways to do it, online sales tax, revenue tax, tax for big blood sucking corporations tax.. I’m sure there are smarter people than me out there who have it figured out. It’s honestly becoming rather embarrassing how we don’t seem to be able to get a grip of these organisations.

  2. This wont have as much effect as people think. When faced with an inability to supply, Amazon just push their home delivery on suppliers. Source: work at one of their suppliers.

  3. People are so addicted to Amazon that it will be tough to ever take them on in a meaningful manner. Workers should strike but the best way to send a message is for people to stop buying from them. I know drivers who are delivering packages to the same people almost every day, sometimes multiple packages, something I can guarantee is not unusual across the country. Amazon does need to care when it makes so much money and it knows people will continue to buy from it, regardless of their business practices. Amazon will just continue with PR ads where employees claim to love working at Amazon and that it is far from the sort of business undercover footage and witness testimony claims it to be. To support this strike, the public needs to stop depending on Amazon so much.

  4. Woop. Totally support it. Amazon should be able to pass saving from efficiencies onto their workers. For all items I’d quite happily pay an extra £1 knowing it went to workers.
