UK MPs accused of using foreign trips for sex tourism

  1. Power can corrupt and some will happily take advantage of others when they think there will be no consequences. Our MPs are no different to elected officials in other countries, so we should not be too surprised that our MPs abuse their positions like this.

  2. the fact foreign diplomats make sure as much of UK politicians time is filled to reduce the free time they have goes to show how absolutely disgusting they are. Probably sitting through meetings daydreaming about the next Thai chick they get to manhandle.

  3. It would be interesting to know how many of these MPs criticised, I think it was Oxfam, when some of their workers in Haiti were reportedly doing similar things.

  4. > A senior Labour MP displayed a fondness for “Russian girls” during trips overseas

What is it with Labour MPs and fondness for Russians?

  5. Does not surprise me at all going by some of the things they say or get up to, including sexist remarks from one MP which hit the headlines then quietly nothing else .

  6. I guess here it really is kinda case by case. The brothel visiting ones in SEA sounds completely unacceptable. Same for the ones going for way too young women or sexualizing some particular race/nationality. The ones visiting some place and getting this get in a way of their work – again awful. But let’s be honest, go out more to drink/try to hook up with people when abroad sounds like behavior lots of people do. If they had any other job and were criticized for doing that on a work trip, there’d be outrage that employer has no right to interfere with the lives of their employees outside of the working time. Let’s be outraged at few of them that went to brothels and done other similar crap, but let’s not try be holier than thou.

  7. Well, I mean, duh.

Why do people go on business conferences? It’s so you can go to Barcelona and have a look at some Gaudi architecture, put a skinful of Rioja on expenses and bang a Spanish skank. No-one goes for the talks, which are all on YouTube anyway.

Same with MPs. You don’t need to fly to Amsterdam or Thailand for “fact finding”. Just ask someone to email you some data, or Google it. You go there to pick up ladies or ladyboys, depending on your persuasion.

  8. They’ve got s lot of nerve. Somebody needs to tell these effete metropolitan liberals that we voted to leave. I expect every MP and Lord or Baroness to be satisfying himself or herself with English prostitutes in English brothels! The nerve of these people who are too good to get off with their own countrymen and women. That makes me sick. We ought to buy British whenever possible. Yet another example of using cheap foreign labour to avoid training British prostitutes.

  9. Shocking /s

Our PM constantly visits Costa Rica without his wife

Not saying anything but it’s fishy AF imo

  10. Elon Musk is certainly very very nervous about people knowing what islands he has been visiting on his private jet. He is now desperately banning any journalist who even mentions a public site that has information on private jets. Dude owns an app that is tracking everyones location 24/7 but somehow he thinks his location should be kept top secret 😂

He constantly bangs on about no-one being special but has revealed to the world he wants to track your location when its profitable to him whether you are on the ground or in the air but but doesn’t want you to be able to track him even on sites that are public knowledge and freely available . He also previously argued Biden and his family should have al their flights tracked and made public including private jets there is simply no defence for his control freak behaviour and his thinking different rules apply to him while fooling gullible people into believing he wants the same rules for everyone but his actions say otherwise. Maybe he shouldn’t be flying to dodgy islands he is terrified of the public finding about him visiting…. again!

  11. At this point there is not a single thing our elected representatives could do that would elicit anything more than my standard weary sigh of impotent anger. Broke lobbying rules? Weary sigh of impotent anger. Sex tourism? Weary sigh of impotent anger. Strategically nuking parts of the country? Same.

  12. Just when you think our politicians at large couldn’t get anymore sleazy 🙄

There needs to be a common sense people party. First and foremost policy, don’t go around shagging everything abroad. General stance, MPs should at all time be held accountable for their actions, best way to lead anyone is through example, and currently I can’t say any politician exactly inspires these days.

In Ancient Rome great emperors like Caesar or Augustus, who the people loved and adored. Inevitably would fall wayside, to those who were an embarrassment to the Roman people, and make things far far worse from exploiting the political system for their own gain, like Nero. Safe to say, it feels like we are enduring our own reign of Nero, as we have been for several decades, just that it keeps on getting worse somehow.

  13. It’s not just MPs, even a brief look around Reddit and you find many posts by people quite happy to view others as a mere object to achieve their pleasure. Concepts like respect, consent, dignity, love all sacrificed to primacy of desire and its satisfaction.
