Is the farmers who give us meat and dairy the new hate targets for the media 😴
It’s disgusting enough that animals are exploited and killed unnecessarily. These farmers have been killing our ecosystems and polluting our waterways for years this is nothing new.
We need a plant based farming system to replace this reckless and costly way of life.
Where do people think all that slurry goes? Animal waste is putrid and what cannot be used as fertiliser has to go somewhere. Run-off happens and it just ends up in our water supply. Fish farming is also incredibly polluting, something that does not get much attention either, waste and pesticide use is a big polluter. The fact is that animal agriculture comes with a lot of consequences that people do not want to consider because it is uncomfortable. Animal agriculture on the scale people want/need is simply not environmentally friendly and we desperately need to scale back if we want to meet climate goals.
Not good at all but a drop in the ocean (literally) compared to the number of human and chemical waste incidents.
Look! Nasty farmers!
Don’t mention the 372,533* raw sewage releases by the water companies!
