  1. the only science r*ssia is doing is providing fresh war crime data.

  2. I hate religion but Poland happens to be one of the fastest growing economies in this region so unless the author is pro religion this map might be a bit of a self own

  3. Africa: doing nothing for 1000 years according to this post

  4. OMG you just did a heckin Good Think ™, may the reddit gods of soylent and fedora stores bless you with good Karma kind stranger🙏

Looking forward to more Good Think ™ from you, maybe something about anti-vaxxers dying and how republicans are the real terrorists?

  5. As an outsider, this seems to be a commentary on the differences between early Islam and early Christianity (Catholicism) versus modern Islam and modern Christianity. With some perhaps anti-Polish sentiment thrown in? Or at least, anti-“current Polish establishment”

I offer no value judgement but I’m interested in the source of this opinion. What makes one conclude such? Why the nuance regarding Poland?

  6. I always cringe at this meme, considering how important religion was in establishment of scientific and educational institutions.

  7. Polish people trying not to shit on Poland challenge any%

    (100% failure rate)

  8. I understand riding on self hate jokes but this one make no sense. Like ruskies are on “the holy war against satan” etc.

  9. Ah yes, my favourite scientific Balkan countries

  10. Stop exaggerating. Some of the most famous names in science have come from Poland. It’s not a country with an anti-scientific culture

  11. This false dichotomy between religion and science is un-factual. Much of the scientific advancements in the medieval and renaissance time came from religious men like Galileo, Sir Francis Bacon, Copernicus, Descartes, Fr. Georges Lemaitre, Bishop Nicolas Steno, and countless Jesuits. The modern university system was even started by Catholic religious orders, and those famous scientists were formed in Catholic education.

  12. Seriously you could maybe do better map it looks really bad dowlawnd QGIS or smth

  13. Actually, Al Andalus (as in most of Spain) was one of the centers of science and philosophy in the Muslim world of 1018

  14. I wouldnt put the dipshits in the ”doing science” in 2018
