The Atlantic coasts of Ireland are more spectacular than the entire rest of the country.
Who’s the ginger?
Picture 2 makes me want to say Lasagne in a Donegal accent.
Yeah I love it up there. Scenery is phenomenal. Not many people too
Love Donegal
The first non-moaning post on this subreddit this year. Refreshing
what mountain is 6?
love pic 3, 8 and the sky in 1
amazing
Honestly one of the only good things about Derry is how close all of this is.
Is one of those pictures Saltpans?
Oh wow. I was already planning to go but now it has to happens ASAP.
Love a bita Donegal 🏄♂️
I was in my late 20s when I first visited Donegal. Fell in love. Now I’m over there 3-5 times a year.
Me and my family have a holiday house in donegal. Bought it between us 30 yrs ago. Donegal isn’t a place it’s a state of mind.
Pride of all!
I’ll be booking a first class rail ticket post haste.
What’s that building in picture 8, a centre for ANTS?!
I want to go to there
Hup the Hills!
Those giant swans will kill is all!
First photo looks bloody grim but the rest are beautiful.
Donegal is a gem of a place
There was a great post here years ago about an Irish lad who brought his American missus home to the west coast to see family. At the end of the trip she said she wanted to go on a beach holiday soon.
He goes:
“But you were just at the beach? We went there for a day out.”
“No I mean like an actual beach where I can get a tan. Not an Irish beach where Widows go to stand in all black thinking about their dead husbands.”
Probably the most accurate description of the Western coast I’ve heard. Great spot.
Being Donegal, all those pictures were taken in one 15 minute period
Savage
Lovely pics thanks.
Those Eagle statues people used to put on the piers of their gates in the nineties dont look very good in the last pic though, seriously tacky.
Reminds me of the scene from the Stephen King show the Langoliers where they were trying to get the plane back up in the air before the airport got rolled up by the monsters who ate the past. 🙂
