Don’t worry, I’m sure that Nicola and her cronies are going to break the rules and have an illegal Christmas party anyway /s
Defer is necessary
We really should have considered getting countries and major religious leaders to have considered observing Christmas by, say, two to three months in 2020 and 2021. Get the countries to shift the holidays.
The date of Christmas is a tradition, but it doesn’t reflect a theological position that Christ was historically born on a specific day of the year. It’s just when it’s celebrated.
That way, people could still have their celebrations without the disease impact.
It’d create disruption, but I’d think that it’d be less-disruptive to let people celebrate the holiday without restrictions and deaths than to deal with some logistics (i.e. Christmas ice-skating rinks not working, performers and seasonal stores needing to adjust schedules, etc).
“Get tae fuck” I believe is the appropriate response.
