Sucks man, while you are waiting in the car I will share my Christmas car trouble story in Poland for you.
I was in Poland with Christmas celebrating with my family and step family. The day after the Wigilia I didnt really feel like drinking and partying with the rest so much (we were going at it for days) and i wanted to go hiking in the forest in the evening and I would walk back home in the city. So I asked my strepbrother to drop me off in the nearby forest. I was fine to be dropped of by the side of the road and I would venture into the forest. But as he is someone always wanting to get more out of an experience he wanted to drive a little into the forest. But it was one of the cold and snowy winters of 2008 or 2009 and there was quite a bit of snow. So he drove our van (not a 4×4) into the unpaved snowy forest path. It went ok for the first 500 meter and I told him this wont go well but he wouldnt listen. So then came a hilly part which was fine going down but going up was getting difficult,but now going back was even worse and also made the tires slip on the snow, so he tried further up and went further in the forest. There road was too narrow to make a turn. I was already laughing a bit and watching him making rash decisions. He still thought it was a good idea to venture further into the forest he though somewhere further it would be the end of the forest or there would be a possibility to turn. While he was raised in the neighborhood, he was more a city boy not knowing the area, I actually knew the forest better from a couple of hikes. there was just kilometers of the same road ahead. So he was really getting angry that he couldn t find a way out and also getting anxious we would be spending the night in the forest. I didnt mind that much as my mind was set to be there a couple of hours and the walk back was less than 5km. But he was going back and forth and endlessly trying to go up the hill until he slipped. He started to call people to help him out. So first he called his twin brother and my brother which also became stuck at the beginning at the forest path. So then they called a taxi to get them out. (These guys would call a taxi for simply everything, groceries, drinks, and this stuff). Of course this taxi also got stuck… After a while they were saved by the next taxi. He just called some more taxis but at the beginning of the forest they didnt want to venture in as it was senseless as they would end the same way. He really angrily called half the city while shouting and in the meantime he would desperately try to turn the car back and forth. He really lost it and often would give far to much power so of course wheels went spinning. It was difficult to find someone because of course everyone was drunk and with family. Finally he managed to find someone with a 4×4 car (i dont remember correctly but think it was the forest manager) he too had been drinking but my stepbrother of course was really pressuring him to come. As I heard afterward he wasnt politely asking or begging he was really angrily shouting at people. So the guy with the 4×4 really wasnt pleased to leave his family but said he was on his way.
After i think 30 minutes of going back and forth and putting twigs and branches under the wheels to get a grip we finally managed to get the van turned around. Then we were told a friend was also on his way as he knew somebody with a 4×4. These guys showed up earlier and finally pulled us out of the forest.
I was told they were really glad the forest manager didnt show up earlier as he was angry for being pressured into saving somebody who stupidly got himself in trouble on exactly this evening. They also told me that would have cost a lot probably he said he would have paid him a lot to make him come. As i didnt speak Polish i didnt know exactly what was my stepbrother had said but my other step brother and brother assured me he was going crazy and shouted at half the city and made everyone angry. I didnt finish my hike but I really had something to laugh about.
Hope you will be relieved soon and dont get in to the panic he got into, maybe you can call a taxi?

There was a time when my car got locked in Serenada’s underground parking one day before Xmas and they didn’t want to open the doors for me to drive out, so I was essentially stranded in Cracow for an entire night day before Christmas Eve. All because I wanted to watch Spider Man: No Way Home and light a cigarette after the movie, which essentially doomed my return means, I literally had No Way Home. I spent that entire night at friend’s place but the catch was my friend wasn’t there, only his gf. Awkward at. Got home just in time for Christmas Eve dinner.
