The way I’ve build these is with the sump and tunnel floor continuously descending towards exit. Minor detail maybe, but I thought I’d mention it.
Also, try to make sure the exit is placed in direction were the wind doesn’t pile snow against it.
I like this “working platform”. Indeed very comfortable with coding and compiling, and your CPU will never be overheated.
Buildings tunnels and rooms in snowpiles on our yard was the best when i was younger. One time we dug out too much on smaller pile and it collapsed. It was only little snow so not dangerous.

What is the temperature differential between the sump and the sleeping platform? Seems like it would be negligible
