I went a few years ago, went on a spinning ride and it started moving before we’d pulled our restraints down. Also at the same time saw a rollercoaster that got stuck at the top of the chain lift, the operator climbed up the structure without a harness or even a shirt on, pushed the vehicle over the edge, but it didn’t make it over the first hill and just oscillated forwards and backwards before coming to a stop at the bottom of the first drop.
I heard during hard time maintenance funds are cut, and risk of accidents goes up.
These bungee rides are notoriously dangerous, and prone to operator error.
Horrific, I hope they get a free ticket to compensate!
The guy you can hear in the video says he knew that was going to happen.
a bit sus.
Theme parks don’t phase me in the slightest.
Funfairs? Fuck that shit. Ain’t trusting any ride that has wheels that can pack up and leave at a moments notice.
I miss when Winter Wonderland was subtle and just the sheds along Hyde Park, and it was free to walk around, no entrance fee. When they turned it into this carnival thing it became a bit tacky, too crowded and you had to pay to enter.
I’ve always wondered what would happen if both sides snapped while the pod is at the top of its climb.
Needless to say, I don’t go on this kind of thing
Every year there is a story about a shit winter wonderland. It’s the gift that keeps on giving
You’ll never catch me on any ‘ride’ which uses elastic.
Went a few years ago and they had a smaller coaster (mouse trap type thing) and the whole frame was balancing on piles of loose bricks. I’m surprised it’s taken this long for something to happen there.
