The food in America is fantastic but it’s certainly below France and Belgium.
But Poland and Germany?!?! I spent a week in Germany this year and it was some of the worst food I’ve ever had.

So imagine Americans visiting restaurants in their own country that market themselves as having a certain cuisine. French cuisine restaurants are so ubiquitous in many countries that they’re usually not marketed as “french restaurants” in those countries, but just as “restaurants” (just like in Belgium).
