If you’ve seen one of this guy’s videos, you’ve seen them all. Just watch the shortest one you can find and save yourself the time.
I will tell my grandkids 30 years from now that this was real media reporting so they have at least a one positive impression of this period of corruption, cruelty and general disdain for the members of the public from the rulling class
Jonathon Pie gone from satire to scathing truth teller.
I don’t know why this sub hates him so much, his videos are great and this is the best one he’s ever done IMO.
Himself and Walsh should start a new political party , that would really be something to make the establishment shake .
This guy got started by doing this schtick for RT. It may be entertaining but its still propaganda.
could you imagine if all this chaos was actually caused by larry the cat jumping on boris’s laptop which sent dodgey infomration to the ons which then caused all this shit fuckery.
Think the most scathing bit of satire this time round is the closing return to news reporter…
“… anger at the unions for striking over Christmas”
Useless media.
>find the money
Exactly what Labour should be saying, didn’t the Tories just reverse tens of billions of pounds worth of tax cuts? Why can’t they use that money? At the very least force them to admit they could borrow the money if they wanted to and were willing to do so for rich people but not now for nurses.
This country is so utterly ruined… we are literally too far gone to fix things and ever go back to the way things used to be.
It is terrifying to say, but this can only end one way…
But Zelensky wasn’t that popular either until Putin decided he wanted things he couldn’t have.
The other insane thing about this whole thing is when people like Richard Madeley are like ‘it’s Christmas season, if people can’t get to the shops they’ll go out of business!’, with him missing the fact that _people_ are the same as the ‘people’ who are striking, and the reason they’re striking is BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY.
People who are paid a true living wage and are able to support themselves and their families are GOING TO PUT MORE MONEY INTO THE ECONOMY!
Shops won’t go out of business because of train strikes, they’ll go out of business because people can’t afford heating, let alone luxuries.
The fucking insanity of it all.
Brilliant! This guy is saying what needs to be said. Here comes the bots downvoting him to hell
Hey everyone, watch the downvotes, this is going to be nailed by the tories bots
Find the money. They know perfectly well where the money is, they wont throw so much as a penny from the pile while there is pressure to apply to innocent people to go back to work.
I can see this running over the winter and into spring, with the government hoping the torrent of nurses leaving the NHS and retiring cripples the system and the picket lines dwindle.
Write to your MP. Engage with upstanding and respected people in your community and if they share the same ideals then see if they will lend their influence. If your MP sends you a typefaced reply, keep resending it.
This is the fight of a generation FOR the next generation against the entire corporate profit machine. There are legions of private equity firms all greased up and ready to devour the next bits of the NHS and other essential infrastructure nationally. They are literally ripping the wiring out of the walls and calling it redecorating.
I dont think it will be long before there is a general strike, peoples mates livelihoods are being crushed and that sparks emotional and organised responses by communities.
Dear British Labour Party
Could all of you stfu and let Jonathan Pie be your spokesperson.
Can someone explain this please?
Inflation has been caused largely by increased energy costs.
The governments response to this is to increase the base rate to reduce spending power to slow inflation
We are now asking for public sector pay rises which if given will fuel inflation to a certain extent.
We are then in the same situation but those not in unions have now lost out having to pay higher taxes to pay for pay rises while not receiving one themselves.
Am I missing something? I’m not saying people do or don’t deserve a payrise but I don’t see how there’s anyway out of this apart from sorting out the energy crisis.
I’m more worried that so many people here seem to think Jonathan Pie is a real person.
I love that he bookends his rant with the ‘on air’ version, with MSM talking points, bland centrist words and cadence and viewpoints to sort of prime us to recognise it when a BBC presenter parroting the phraseology unironically.
What he says is basically the raw, unfiltered true feelings a lot of us has but are still unsure whether we should feel it. Gaslighting remark is 10/10. Pointless Brexit happened, energy prices up 200%, inflation in double digits, and pay is not catching up, and we blame the people we praised everywhere a few months ago for their commitment, despite the risks they were facing.
I don’t want a nurse who cared for my old parents to come back after a 12h shift to a cold home they can’t afford to heat up! That’s fucked up.
He barely straps into character anymore and just rantymans the whole bit.
Pretty much sums up the whole situation. Will it get the coverage ?
If only Labour stood up and said it pretty much like that and kept pushing the message.
If Kier had that passion and came across similar it would be amazing and have those Tory f**kers on the ropes.
To all those hur dur he’s ex RT hur dur, tell me this; Is he fucking wrong? Get over yourselves man.
