It’s just the Americans coming up with random names for mediocre dishes as usual.
Having said that, it’s basically braised beef round, so I’m sure it’s good. Not very elaborate or complex, but it’s simple recipe intended for the people who don’t how to cook without a crockpot.

about as swiss as “swiss cheese”
The steak gets „swissed“, which means needled, or hammered with the spike side of a meat mallet. This has nothing to do with Satfplätzli.
Why do all Swiss meals look like someone ate them already?
It’s as Swiss as baby Swiss cheese or Swiss miss!
I remember eating Saftplätzli, which is very soft beef with onions. It is very tasty in my opinion. I had something like this:
