  1. This is just another case of the government letting anti-social behaviour fester because it only affects people in poor areas.

    They could sort this in an afternoon: ban scramblers being sold in Dublin or to a Dublin postcode, launch a street and park blitz, confiscating every bike they see on the streets and prosecuting the parents. If a child is caught on a scrambler, punish the parents.

    In the long term, legislate so that someone caught on a scrambler on a public road or public park is automatically ineligible to ever receive a driving licence.
