  1. “The Black Bitch name is associated with the town’s coat of arms, which portrays the legend of a greyhound who saved _his_ master…”

    Hmmm.

  2. How is black hound more Inclusive ?
Literally nothing to do with race so how is against the anti racism thing they’ve signed up to ?

  3. More pandering to soft idiots.

It’s like the pub where my friend Panda lives had to change its name.

How on earth is a pub called the “black bitch” with a picture of a dog on the sign racist?

No wonder a lot of people say we are going to hell in a handcart.

  4. Some pub names may be historic but that doesn’t stop them no longer being acceptable under modern norms.

“bitch” without any context can be assumed to be offensive, but that falls away once you realise it refers to a dog. Immediately the “black” also makes sense, even if the whole name still strikes you as less than stellar.

You shrug you shoulders, wonder if there is anything decent on tap, realise it’s a Greene King, and so go somewhere else.

I wonder what this group would make of places like “The Saracen’s Head”?

  5. There is literally a picture of a fucking dog on the side. Is someone also going after the kennel club as well considering their use of the word?

    I really do despair.
