Varadkar issues ultimatum to Fine Gael ministers

  1. >Fine Gael ministers have been told they have a year to save their jobs, as Leo Varadkar confirmed his intentions to hold a reshuffle when he becomes Taoiseach again

I’d bet my life Simon Harris will be benched

  2. “He said we need to take on Sinn Féin. He pointed to a picture of Michael Collins in our room and said he would not lie down, and neither should we”

    Now there’s a fun image 🤣

  3. Says he that is under investigation for giving his friend information that swung a contract .

Get rid of this damaged narcissistic cretin .

  4. Maybe instead of “taking on Sinn Fein”, they could do their actual fucking jobs and address the plethora of social issues that have evolved under their watch?

Actions speak far louder than words and I think most people couldn’t give a rat’s arse about whatever Tit-for-Tat Mary Lou and Leo have during leaders questions.

    Do. Your. Fucking. Jobs.

  5. “We need to take on Sinn Fein” ie lets focus on undermining Sinn Fein and pointing the finger at them rather than addressing the issues Ireland is facing.

  6. Sometimes I think we’re guilty for thinking that politicians appear stupid on purpose, kinda like how Boris acts the clown to underestimate him.

Then I read stuff like this and realise that, no, they are actually delusional, self-obsessed idiots drowning so deep in groupthink they actually live in an alternate reality.

  7. Have we all had enough now of Leo? If FG want to avoid a wipeout he needs to fold his tent. It was always a risk and it hasn’t gone. To be fair, he stepped up and shut up during the initial crisis ( obviously took the advice of professionals and sold it well to us, appearing calm in a dark hour), but when he’s not in the limelight, he’s a walking liability with his mouth and ego.

All of that said, the average Leo loving FG voter is not on Reddit, and they may still adore him enough to vote for him and FG

  8. I think it was after he claimed more resources in hospitals will slow down staff and things work better when they’re under pressure was probably when I finally got a true insight into how this man’s mind works.

I don’t know anyone who spent any time practicing in Irish hospitals who could come to the conclusion he did. Like it is the most bizarre possible way of interpreting the situation. Worse, he then worked as a GP, so should’ve seen the impact if such a low resource environment had on his patients’ waiting times for clinics and investigations.

So I’m not surprised that his solution to FG’s woes is to go after SF instead of simply making FG more popular by actually addressing the main election issues.
