Southern Water Supply general sentiment: Due to freeze/thaw of last weeks weather a shit ton of pipes have burst and the demand of water is outstripping supply so heavily we’re worried that critical systems like hospitals may suffer. Therefore we are asking you to stop using so much water for the next 72 hours because we’re trying to fix a bunch of broken shit and we may have to temporarily turn off your water in certain areas so when our workmen are fixing leaks it’s not spraying them in the face at Mach 2.
Southern water are the drizzling shits. They had the longest hosepipe ban because their supplies were dwindling because they failed to invest to stop leaks. And now they can’t handle a mild cold snap because they again failed to invest in their network.
The system is broken and southern water is the prime example of failure.
That’s funny cause I got an email from Southern water a couple weeks ago saying they had state of the art technology to detect leaks and pressure drops. Clearly absolute bollocks.
