Abo ticket validation

I live in VRR area and recently got a Job abo ticket (ticket 2000) via Rheinbahn..

I’ve been validating the ticket each time I am getting on the bus.

I am yet to see a validation in bahn and tram.

Is it necessary to validate the ticket each and everytime??
