I don’t see having ID as a problem that some people make it out to be. I agree fuck Tory’s. But getting ID isn’t hard, and most people have it to buy cigarettes and alcohol and go clubbing so it’s not some huge conspiracy to stop a demographic voting.
Regardless of people’s views on this I guarantee that the first election to use voter ID will be challenged in court by, probably, the Good Law Project
Next step will be a reduction in polling stations in areas that keep voting for the wrong people. It’ll be done to save money, or even better, pay for the 1% pay rise the public sector should be fucking grateful it’s getting.
I mean, literally every EU country uses voter ID.
Take France for example, you have an actual national ID card for every thing you do which interacts with the state.
there is no excuse.
the id forms will be free from post offices etc. and if you rent you have id.
hell, when i bought this property i had to get a letter from work that i actually worked there.

Earlier in the article it states that the number of people without appropriate ID is estimated to be 2 million.
There are about 48 million registered voters, 2million would be more than 4%.
…I’m inclined to assume the government spokesperson is incorrect and knows he’s lying, for obvious reasons.
If you are over 60 you can use the free ID supplied by the Government, under 60 you need to pay for the right to vote.
Uk gov is turning into the ccp, banning protests, rigging goverment, non stop surveillance, censored Internet, swear they just change the laws everytime they get caught.
