Czech graph would be an interesting anomaly. Younger people tend to vote the right wing more than old people.
This seems very interesting, but I have trouble interpreting “Age of Generation”.
There are huge qualitative differences between the countries though.
When you vote left wing in italy you potentially vote communists, in comparison for example the US has no relevant left wing party
Why do millennial lines end before 30 when the oldest millennials (according to the graph definition born 1985) turn 38 this year?
It’s important to note that the definition of right- and left-wing differs between countries and the graphs don’t show how extreme the voted parties are, so comparisons between individual graphs isn’t quite possible, except for comparing the trends within each graph.
E.g. If every German millennial voted CDU and every American Millennial voted Dem, the German millennial line would be at +100 and the American millennial line would be at -100, but policy-wise the difference would be slim and in some areas even reversed.
Interesting to see the political gap between Boomers and the other generation like in France and Germany, where as in anglosphere, where boomer were more in line with silent gen, it’s millenial that seem to depart from others.
Special mention for Hungary that almost manage a perfect line evenly split between generation.
Good. The sooner right-wing conservatism and neoliberalism disappears from electoral maps everywhere, the better for the world.
Too bad we can’t just ban the Republican Party, PiS, Fidesz and similar shitheads and exile their members to Russia.
Yet on r/italy they still believe that it’s the old people’s fault for our current government
