Domestic violence a factor as homicide rate here almost doubles to 43 this year Tags:ireland 7 comments Is there an yearly breakdown of serious crimes committed in Ireland? Fucking disgusting. Domestic abuse should not be tolerated. Women need more support when it comes to domestic abuse What is it that drives these men to murder these women? As much as I hate to see this I can hear the calls for inquiries and legislation, you can legislate these pieces of shit away And so many victims of domestic violence murdered by their abusers reported the abuse to Gardaí, had orders against them etc. Did anyone see the documentary on Virgin TV/TV3 recently? Heartbreaking. We seem to have a high level of familicides in Ireland too. If there were only 43 homicides last year, then it bears mentioning that our homicide rate is really low! There is some evidence domestic violence decreased during the lockdown, therefore this might be a return to historical rates Leave a ReplyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
