Year-to-date there has not been a single hour when Germany has had cleaner energy than France

1. Embarrassing.

2. And there has hardly a day when Germany did not need to export energy to its neighbours – especially France that didn’t get a grip on their “green” nuclear power plants!

3. Not even when they imported our energy generated from burning coal this year?

4. Correct: French max. 116 gCO2/kWh, German min. 149 gCO2/kWh.

5. Could we try the same thing with Spain data ? Trying to get insights. 🙂

6. Yeah great. We had to burn a shit ton of coal and gas to support French “clean energy” because their nuclear power plants were not working.

7. BuT mUh wIndPRopElLeR gOEs BRRR…well, sometimes… And lignite burns 24/7.

8. ah yes Germany has to go full coal to get off RU gas and export a lot of power to France in particular no one saw that coming.

   France has been back exporting electricity since about mid december.

10. Yeah that’s what happens when you have the same conservative asshat in power for 16 years twice in 4 decades. Necessary investments in future technologies don’t happen, while foundational responsibilities of the state are gutted as well.

11. To all the German who talk about their massive exportation to France :
    France generated 430 TWh over the year, and was a net importer of 16 TWh, which represent less than 4% of our electric use.
    Plus we imported that energy from all of our neighbors, and not only Germany contrary to what some German seems to believe.
