What were the selection criteria? Two MVNO’s were included (Simyo & Simpel), but why not Tele2?
It frustrates me that the colors of the plots don’t correspond to the company colors 😓
Why does it increase after 20gb?
The line chart does not make a lot of sense for tiered data like this. Not all of the providers are offering their services at the same GB amount. Additionally, lines between x-axis numbers offer no info; there are no data plans for a 5.5 GB data amount. Just my two cents.
Big reason why I’m still using my Polish card. No contract, €7 per month, pre-paid so no unexpected costs, 6GB in EU. I could find a better deal (I’m looking online and my current carrier offers 40GB deals for €8, not sure how much of it can be used in other EU countries) but as long as I’m not watching YouTube while on mobile data it’s enough so I don’t even bother to change.
Is er iemand die Vodafone heeft zonder ziggo om je data te verdubbelen?
Even dacht ik op data is mooi te zitten, maar toen zag ik dat de grafiek helemaal niet beweegt. Goed inzichtelijk gemaakt OP!
I like this. Thank you.
My current contract allows me to have a negative per-GB cost, since I am able to recoup amounts left over at the month with slight profit. Iff I use less than about 2.1GB, this means the effective cost is below zero.
Why do 6 lines correspond to 5 euros 💀
Simpel, Tele2 & Ben are T-Mobile brands
I’m so happy with Tele2 unlimited.
Is this corrected for inflation?
As someone who now spends more time in the USA, I have a KPN prepaid card. €100 per gigabyte if you don’t buy a bundle, but €10 per gigabyte bundle. Very lovely.
PS: I have a 1 GB plan in the USA as well, the cheapest possible: $30/month, before taxes. The triopoly of American intercom is insane.
Interesting graph! Funnily I was just looking at changing my mobile data plan. Currently have 20Gb 5G/200 minutes at Tele2 for 18 euros. I sort of feel like getting unlimited data as I run into my data limit from time to time (Use 5g at work as the companies public wifi is pretty bad) and use my hotspot a lot as well.
However, 20gb/200 is 18 euro’s something, whilst unlimited data alone adds 9 euros. I won’t use *that* much more if I get an unlimited connection so it’s a tough consideration. Their current deal is 25 euros for unlimited 5g + 200 minutes, but it’s still too expensive.
Contacted their customer service as I’m up for renewal and let them know that I’ll consider other providers if they can’t go lower, but it looks like they won’t budge on 25 euros for unlimted/200 minutes.
