Poland is awesome, they helped us a ton in the medical landscape in the past, with amazing doctors and knowledge. Thank you, Poland.
So, a part of the Polish gold remained here and then we, when times were better, we gave it back.

IIRC we were also neighbors, geographically speaking, during Piłsudski’s time…
I am quite impressed how non-awkward it was for us (and tbh still is) to be on great terms with both Hungary and Romania, two countries that historically greatly disliked each other. I bet the Polish leadership was privately all like “can’t you guys, like, just get along?”
