  1. China completely canceled tourist and family visas for nearly 2 years. I sincerely hope that EU will ignore their whining

  2. Excerpt:

    >EU health ministers reached a consensus over how to handle travelers from China, as the country is gripped by a surge of COVID-19 infections.

    >The lack of transparency and incomplete data on infections has led to an “overwhelming majority” of EU countries “in favor of pre-departure testing,” a spokesperson for the European Commission said following Tuesday’s meeting.

    >A crisis meeting is now scheduled for Wednesday to coordinate a response across the bloc.

    >A sudden influx of passengers from China coupled with Chinese government reticence to permit the World Health Organization (WHO) to test for new variants has sparked various levels of concern among EU officials regarding the emergence of new forms of the potentially legal virus.

  3. Why are quick tests inakzeptable, while shutting down whole cities is? China was dishonest when this whole buzz started, there is no reason to trust them now.

  4. Maybe China should start using proper vaccines then if they want to be seen as if they don’t have a huge wave of COVID infections.

  5. The nice thing is that if chinese passengers find it unacceptable to do covid tests then they can simply stay at home or choose a destination whose rules they find acceptable. Or, you know, get their government to give people proper vaccines instead of locking them in their homes and pretending all is well.
