Matt Hancock fails to land celebrity agent amid poor book sales- reports

  1. Did he really expect much? Even if the Celebrity stunt made him look a little more likable short term, I can’t imagine it made him actually look interesting.

Even those who sympathise with him and the government surely don’t want to read about how hard it was cocking up so vastly during covid, and I can’t imagine his writing is particularly captivating.

Hopefully now he can properly fade into insignificance, only to return during any future inquiries.

  2. He should be locked up for imposing lockdown. I still cannot quite believe that for a period, I lived in a county where it was illegal to see and sleep with your partner if you weren’t cohabiting. Absolutely disgraceful.

  3. Completely passed me by that he’s published a book.

Not surprising, and even less surprising that it isn’t selling well.

That said, far worse politicians have gone on to get celebrity agents, so I doubt he’ll be self-representing for long.

  4. Lol – yeah, right.

“A spokesman for Mr Hancock last night told The Mirror: “Matt has had lots of offers from agents wanting to represent him, but he’s turned them all down as he doesn’t want or need an agent.” “

  5. It’s been a critical and commercial failure. No one believes someone so underwhelming and forgettable that his own ex-wife has to remind herself every day who he is was the lone same voice in government at the time. He has as much personality as Tesco budget white bread too. There is nothing for him to do but fade into obscurity and accept that no one is interested in him, even his own kids.
