  1. I said elsewhere – if these books are illegal – why does Amazon UK sell them?

Why does the UK legal establishment not prosecute Amazon nor the current CEO?

Why do they prefer to prosecute kids with zero legal resources?

  2. UK Gov: Environment protests are now terrorism.

Child downloads a pamphlet about environmental activism in their area.

Gov: We must arrest this child.

The article cites the IRA and Al-Qaeda as the extreme examples but don’t you worry, terrorism laws have proven to be blanket and everlasting.

  3. Can’t wait for people to blame everyone but the parent or parents.

I’m not trying to say the govt are right or wrong, but some of the time, they are forced to enact laws because people are incapable of taking responsibility for their actions.

It’s always blame the book, blame the gun, blame the teacher, or the school, or social media and finally, the government.

  4. I grew in the 80s and never attended a PREVENT class.. could some one please ELI5 on what one is ASAP. Please? I never needed this shit when growing up. I didn’t join a radical terrorist group. Has social media / Internet created such a toxic and shitty environment? and can we also establish if its only the poor getting dragged into radicalised thinking? Midclass maybe trying to hold onto any wealth after there parents fucked up? What about the rich kids? or they joining these groups?

  5. This was part of a plot line on an episode of Star Trek TNG I saw last night. The line was something like “in a world where children are terrorists everyone is a suspect” and they showed an 11 year old being hauled off. We’re there
