Dumb or an okay food gift for someone living in Poland?

  1. Looks good, never seen those things here, always nice to try some foreign snacks

  2. Saw cookies and cream pop tarts here the other day, made smile. Think whoever these are intended for will appreciate them.

  3. I would say it is a nice gift, but not so sure about the cats

  4. good, i’d take it 😜 my family used to send me stuff from the US – i mainly liked m&ms in the big pack

  5. These are something we don’t have in Poland, so I think they’re great for that reason. Snack gifting is about discovering new tastes

  6. Just a heads up, had beer explode on me in my plane luggage)

  7. Can you add some beef jerky? I bought some in Poland and it was very meh, but I guess it’s like buying a frozen pizza and wondering what everybody sees in *that*. You probably have access to a decent quality jerky.

That is if you can travel with/send a meat based product, of course.

  8. Bro, as a Southerner Florida Man, I can tell you right now that Dot’s pretzels are ELITE!

  9. Flavored oreos tend to be a hit, Reese’s pieces, Cookie Crisp cereal are a few others, what you have is also good

  10. I’d say add corn starch in there as its expensive in Poland 😅

  11. It’s a nice gift. I had company from Poland visiting in the US and they brought a bunch of cereal back (płatki). Stuff like lucky charms. They were amazed at how many different colors the cereals here had and the variety.

    My gf loves dots

  12. I’d be very happy if someone brought me such a gift

  13. I would love to receive foreign snacks as a gift and from my personal experience poles love to try different cuisines and tastes

  14. Get a gallon jug of BBQ sauce. I can never find the good stuff in Poland (unless it’s on Allegro, think Polish eBay) and my family loves the stuff.

  15. I would hate it but I don’t like processed food.

  16. It’s gonna depend on the person.

Someone might find it fun to try American stuff, but I know lots of people who would essentially go “ew American garbage. Too much sugar/salt/etc.” and not know what to do with it.

So you might want to make sure the person isn’t too much of a traditionalist when it comes to cooking.

  17. I’d remove the beer only because of the cost of shipping. Also, they have great beer.

  18. I always enjoy eating foods that are inaccesible in Poland, so I’d say that’s a pretty good gift

  19. Pretty good package. Pork rinds are something people here don’t know at all for sure. From my experience beef jerky is always a hit (rare and super expensive in Poland); root beer, grape and cream soda are some popular US sodas that are basically unknown in Poland. MnM’s other than regular and peanut are rare, so the Pretzel or Brownie ones, or Almond for example, will be new flavours of something recognisable.

  20. Personally, I would gift some beef jerky. I always bring a few jumbo packs of it whenever I’m in states for a bussiness trip.

  21. My take with these gifts is to get something that is some what original/classic to where its coming from. So being in Canada maple syrup. Not sure where you are but the BBQ sauce, rubs, corn bread are perfect. Other things okay bit not stupid.

  22. As long it’s something from abroad what you can’t then it’s super cool
