RMT have been trying to arrange talks all over the Xmas break. Network rail have refused to attend any talks before this round of strikes finishes. Next date for talks is the 9th. Clearly shoveler would rather enjoy the festivities than enter talks and try prevent the strikes.
Hold out guys. Keep striking. I hope you get a decent pay comprise and working conditions met. I’m plenty happy to stay at home for another week and save my fair.
If these corporate dipshits wanna fuck around they will find out
Do you think I should go for the bus tomorrow instead of the trains? ASLEF are off tomorrow but I can’t get a clear answer on whether that means anything’s running. (Aren’t they the drivers?)
My sympathy for these “strikers” is beginning to wear thin
They also face increased fares and more services cancelled for non strike-related reasons. Whatever money companies are making is not going towards employees of improving their terrible service.
We should’ve just automated this years ago…
Someone at the gov should get IBM on the phone
I support the strikes because they deserve good working conditions and pay, but I have to admit the benefit of not going into London and the monetary savings is nice
Yay. More commuting hours wasted on buses. As if my time wasn’t precious enough
