How many years in a row will these complaints fall on deaf ears? Like it’s actually crazy how politicians can just continue to ignore this issue and keep going as if it’s the norm
Close regional hospitals and have everyone go to the all ready over crowded “centres of excellence”. Great idea, said no one ever.
again?
stephen donnelly will fix this at any moment now. Leaky wouldn’t have kept him on the job otherwise, right?
An issue is hospitals opening new wards even though they Don’t have the staff for them. It’s leading to chronic understaffing.
we can’t fix it over night
That’s no true Leo is going to solve any problems soon he said. He’s party only doing great last 20 plus years
The only way to keep/get the staff is to increase wages significantly.
Would they consider striking like the UK nurses? I feel like I read this headline every week, things won’t change without protest imo
Irish government: wow I wish there was something that someone could do about this. Oh well…
It’s been the same for years now, no change, but we have a much bigger population that will keep rising, no extra hospital beds or staff Ireland is fucked,
Always the unions making these statements… 🤔
Pay nurses more yiz cunts!
Pretty sure they said that before
Until the public stand up and tell politicians we want a proper functioning health system we’ll continue with this crap.
The two tier nonsense has to stop. How much money leaves the health system just to go to line the pockets of private health companies?? All those vhi/Irish life/etc premiums should go into the health service. There’s a lot of duplication of jobs being paid for in private operators. That just adds to the cost for everyone.
What are the nursing union doing to change the HSE to make it fit for purpose ?
Ireland needs an emergency services strike. If everyone working in healthcare and policing stayed home for 72 hours the government would be forced to actually acknowledge what they do for society and pay them what they deserve.

Nurses need to form [Rank and File Committee’s](https://www.wsws.org/en/special/pages/more-rank-and-file.html) – because union management are co-opted – and strike for better wages/conditions.
