  1. Must be a pretty shitty person to use the virality of missing posts to garner social media attention. I haven’t used FB in a long time but it seems to occur a fair bit according to other pieces.

  2. People are quite gullible. If a person is really missing, the police will issue a statement. Link to that, and I might share the message. Otherwise, I have to assume that it is a fake.

    It all comes down to the credible hulk – who always cites his sources.
