Glad that his relatives were found: the lot of Irish emigrants is far more of a mixed bag than we imagine or are told. What struck me from the report was the ease which a professional genealogy/probate firm cracked it. They did it for free and said “it wasn’t difficult”. Makes me wonder how competent are police or how interested in doing their job. Cue: it’s not their job. Actually it makes me wonder what they actually do.
And one of his nieces was also living in Birmingham
