Would make much more sense to close the schools early and reduce the chances for the age group with a very high transmission rate from spreading it further. It gives a week for symptoms to appear or for tests to be carried out, but no it makes more sense to let them go straight from school to visiting granny. Meanwhile they’re making it even more difficult for anyone coming home from abroad who already needs a vaccine passport as well as a negative test to get into the country in the first place. Omicron is already here, why shut the gate after the horse has bolted?
So it will be NPHET’s fault and not Leo’s of course.
I will not be following any of NPHETs advice this year I’ll be enjoying my Christmas 👍
