I really don’t want to criticise, but Lionel’s father Nathan died about a decade before this happened leaving an estate of about $250B in todays money. $20M (again in today’s money) would have been pocket change.
I’m nopt defending the paucity of other donations, but Rothschild was hardly a good example of a “downtrodden Jew”
