I’m afraid not. When prices were rising rapidly many companies bought ahead to lock in their prices.
We’ll probably be stuck with these prices for at least 2 years.
Will be a good two year test to see are consumers truly and utterly fucked over.
I’m guessing yes.
When have any of them been quick to pass on price reduction vs a price increase. They’re only just after securing the biggest increase in a long time. They are going to ride that train for as long as they can get away with it.
They are ONLY after profits, so they will do everything to keep profit higher
Time for a windfall tax methinks.
When I read pre-war and it took me far too long to realise that it wasn’t WW2…I need to go back to bed
And the price won’t come down for consumers
All as the market needs is for 1 company to start undercutting other companies i.e. market competition. People will just switch over to the cheapest company.
