I have somebody who travels to Belgium today. She has been trying to fill in [the PLF form](https://travel.info-coronavirus.be/public-health-passenger-locator-form) since yesterday, but no SMS code is being sent.

I also tried to fill it, but I also do not receive any code. It’s clearly a platform malfunction.

At this point we are gathering evidence (ie print screens, emails to the address on the page) that it doesn’t work.

Any idea what will happen at the airport? Thanks!

**Edit:** we don’t have Belgian phone numbers, but this shouldn’t be an issue anyway.

**Edit 2:** Just to clarify, I am referring to the confirmation code in the “*Your information”* section.

  1. The PLF will not generate an SMS but an PDF with a QR that you must download at the end of the procedure. The QR is also sent to your mail box.

You must present this QR when you embark and often when you arrive.

  2. It worked for me with a French number a few weeks ago, but that’s all I can say. They did check PLFs before boarding but I don’t know what happened to people without one.

  3. Just tried with a foreign number, didn’t work either. I’m sure it worked on the 14th because then I had to fill out a PLF myself.

I would try informing them just to make sure they’re aware: PLFBelgium@health.fgov.be

Other than that, I have nothing helpful.

  4. We had the same issue when flying from Toulouse to Brussels. At the check-in counter in Toulouse we showed that it was not possible to generate the PLF form. First they said it would cost 250 euro per person if we don’t have it but after having them try to submit the form and seeing it was broken they just left it at that, no additional charges or anything.

For us, luckily, the site started working again when we were waiting for liftoff. When arriving in Brussels we saw a lot of people with their phones in their hand trying to fill in the PLF before passing through customs. One of our party still couldn’t get it to work and in the end they gave him a paper version to fill in.

  5. Had the same issue last month. I was the first to explain it at the gate and they told me they would make an exception for me and get me a paper version. Not long after, there were 50 people with the same issue and they let everyone board.

Keep trying. If it doesn’t work before departure time there will certainly be others. They can hardly deny half a flight. If she would like to have a paper version at hand it can still be found online:

  6. Just filled on plf this morning. No issues but had it in the past: not receiving confirmation SMS but seems to be my phone (ie resetting / airplane mode / reboot etc). Hope this helps,

  7. I had the same issue, even with a Belgian number. It’s weird. Don’t worry about it though, honestly I don’t think it matters too much…

  8. Canadian here. It worked for me a couple days ago. Make sure you use chrome and are entering the + country code phone number

  9. Each time I had to fill in the PLF, it took me an embarrassingly long time to realise that the green text box is in effect a button you need to press… are you like me? 😉
