Would be interesting to know if they were for tests or vaccines.
If I understand the article correctly, a health worker created a genuine certificate and then changed the details to those of the person who wanted the certificate without the vaccine.
I’d love to know how that’s possible? I’d have thought the details encoded in that big fancy QR code would have been set in stone once created.
Some questions come to mind:
* how many of those people with false certificates subsequently get Covid and count as “breakthrough” infections?
* 6’000 false certificates is about 9% of St. Gallen’s adult population. Can this explain the high rate of new infections there?
This story’s got legs!
The people who bought the falsified certificates must be pretty worried right now.
Talk about damning evidence linking right back to you. It’s only got your name hard coded right there on the front page!
Not very surprised that it was St. Gallen. Most of the city is and parliament is controlled by the HSG. And the university hated when they lost their power-games against the Bundesrat.
No wonder that under such terrible role models, corruption and cheating flourishes.
It’s quite unfortunate, but even the best technical solutions are no match for corruption and human greed.
As far as I can tell, there are three schools of thought on this topic:
1. This is wrong, because of the health and legal implications.
2. This is wrong, because even fake certificates are pandering to the medical segregation, which is in itself disgraceful.
3. This is fine, because it will show that the certificates are just a farce, and thus break the system by lack of trust.
Oh, and I guess there’s a forth, which is, “I don’t care about either of those above”.
6000? I’m starting to see higher and higher numbers of fake vaccine zerts I think the real number of vaccinated in this country must be around 50%

Wait, did I join /rBananaRepublic?
This number seems a tad low.
Would be cool to link to the original source.
For those fancying less sensationalist newspapers:
