What would Social Mixing restrictions mean? Weddings? Household visits?
So. Varadkar says he expects NPHET to bring restriction recommendations tomorrow.
Says that could be focused on close contacts, social mixing and international travel.

If you don’t have to meet up with a group of people then don’t.
A bit of cop-on is needed by everyone over the next few weeks.

This is genuine torture mentioning international travel. They need to meet to today and let people know if they can go home for Christmas or not. The messaging is nothing short of cruelty at this stage.
Wasn’t the point of stopping NPHET members speaking publicly to prevent this kind of speculation?

You could look at Scotland as maybe an example of social restrictions. They introduced new guidelines on that yesterday

Like, seriously, it’ll be December 16th tomorrow, would they not have a bit more foresight here and put something in place well ahead of time… I know it’s a moving situation but there is a need for clarity and prioritising such things as international travel, at a time when international travel is going to peak.
