I’m sure the reaction would have been the same if they had lobbied for left-wing speakers instead.
Freeze Peach, brought to you by your favorite tech oligarch, Peter Thiel
A bunch of committed Christians in the **Divinity** department want high profile Christian speakers to come and speak, I’m not seeing a smoking gun here. I wonder about having a Christian department in a university in the 21st century, but other than that…
Why is everyone obsessed with right-wing organising on campuses. There are plenty of left wing bodies easily supported on any given UK campuse.
Since this relates to Cambridge university you will hear far more radical opinions on the street from students than wanting to invite Jordan Peterson to speak.
Surely the least intelligent Cambridge student could tell immediately that both Peterson and Murray are grifter hacks, even if they themselves are very right wing?
Sort of hilarious that this pitiful shower is the caliber of speaker the right wants to wheel out at academic institutions.
Thiel seems a strange fish. I can see why some billionaires are so keen to spend cash on getting us peons to fight amongst ourselves instead of uniting to end their abuse, and why they fund parties that will help their businesses to avoid regulation, but with him it feels far more like some crazed personal vendetta against humanity than a business calculation.
