[Pasteis de Nata in the States](https://postimg.cc/gallery/CdjSNCs)
I returned from a trip to Portugal last week and wanted to bring a bit of Lisbon back home.
(I even used the tins from Pollux)
The dough wasn’t well laminated (and but too puffy) but for a first try, quite happy with the results.
😀

Depending on where you live, you might be able to find a Portuguese bakery that makes them. You can always have a dozen or two overnighted by one of those bakeries. Enjoy!
For first time its not bad. Might not look like a Pastel de Nata but i believe it tasted great.
If you live in new England states you might find portuguese owned or inspired bakeries
Good job😊
By the looks of it it doesn’t seem like a pastel de nata, however I’m sure the taste was good 🙂 we have a very famous bakery here in Lisbon (they have a secret recipe, obviously) that has the best pastéis de nata, and the biggest secret is not even the cream, is the outside (don’t know the term in English). A pastel de nata is supposed to look like a little cup, with a harder outside that when you chew it makes the sound “krack-krack” and the inside is a soft cream. They’re best warm with cinnamon on top 🙂 good luck!
