> Boris Johnson has been laughed at during PMQs after claiming he could have passed his latest raft of coronavirus restrictions without Labour votes.
Either he is delusional or just can’t differentiate the truth from a lie anymore.
I wish I lived in the parallel universe where he’d become the new host of Have I Got News For You instead of the Prime Minister
He knows, he just does not care. He is PM and that is all he has ever wanted to be. It’s not even about being a good one, he just wants to be leader of the country. Having got his name into the history books, he does not care about party support or public polls anymore. He will leave when he decides it is right for him to do so.
Starmers loving life. I thought for a long time that he was far too passive, but he seems to know how to twist the knife
Pity Corbyn isn’t still Labour leader as he always put the sword to the sitting Tory PM with genuine questions and not petty points scoring.
It’s excruciating to listen to him and most of the tories now…delusions of grandeur…the stuff he spouts now…it doesn’t even sound remotely plausible…
Its insane that American and Britain got Hi Jacked by the same exploit of democracy and installed the same type of Character.
Its now playing out the same way the politicians that are around him are getting pulled down with him also.
Let’s hope it doesn’t end in riots at Westminster.
Meh. Passing the measures despite a tory rebellion is politically the best outcome on that vote for Boris. Had there been very little rebellion, the anti-restriction members of the public would be grumbling, playing into RefUK’s campaign. As-is, the tories get to have their cake and eat it on this one (both bringing in the restrictions to mollify the pro-restriction elements and will a sizeable rebellion to placate the anti-restriction elements that the government can’t go too far).
Boris is, has always been, an infantile old Etonian caricature of a cad. It his nature.
His humour demonstrates it (‘muslim women post boxes’ , ‘peppa pig’), and his caddish, impish sense of humour has been a great hit with women and the man on the street.
He’s great companionship at an alcohol fuelled dinner party, I am very sure, but leading the country?
Urm… no.
I doubt BoJo cries himself to sleep at night worrying about what others think of him.
The only person who’s opinion he cares about is his own, and Boris Johnson is madly in love with Boris Johnson. Probably pleasures himself into the mirror.
In all seriousness though, the Conservative Party will only oust him when he starts to cost them money, and it could be rising inflation followed by rising interest that does that. They don’t give a toss about public health, only their bank balances.
