These new stats revealed that the 300,000 unvaccinated i.e. just 6% of the population account for 54% of ICU admissions
Also the average age of unvaccinated admitted to hospital is 38 v 66 vaccinated
It’s not correct to say 6% of the population when the stats, for some reason, go back to July. The unvaccinated population was much higher than 6% back and the cumulative total was obviously changing each week and month.
Why can’t we see these figures in a simple table? Showing month by month and % of the population at a given tíme? First they started the reporting at 1st April and now it’s July. It’s so purposely obtuse and for what reason like.

54% over the last 5 months and 92% of them have an underlying health condition.
Does anyone know, are the majority of these approx.55 unvaccinated people daily in ICU actually people who are deliberately choosing not to be vaccinated or are they people with compromised immune systems and pregnant women ??
3 million vaccinated. 300,000 not vaccinated.
Yet 50% of this are in ICU are unvaccinated.
This means that vaccinated people are 10x less likely to be put into hospital with covid.
What do people understand by hospitalisation? And how if it all do the technical notes of the primary source explain what they mean by covid hospitalisation? There could easily be a discrepancy
Before the lynch mob gathers for the daily “burn the unvaccinated” rally some things are important to remember.
In 2009 the HSE commissioned a report on the future of ICU care in Ireland.
It said that by 2020 we would need 545 beds given the expected population growth. It also identified a level of 12.6 beds per 100,000 population as being the mid level we should aim for to bring us in line with a rough European average, which if we had maintained pace with in to 2021 would be 630 beds.
Martin announced in this years budget, only after a global health pandemic that we would have 340 beds by the year ending 2022.
Who are you really angry at? People making bad choices, or Government fucking up absolutely everything it touches in our health service?
Time to get boosters in everyone
>More than 9-in-10 (92%) also reported having an underlying health condition
What are the projections with 100% vaccinated and full reopening? Is there any study on that because I’m starting to get worried?
