it seems to set its own rules on a lot of things, like whether or not it can be bothered housing people who are homeless, because in reality it can’t be done, so how allowing more people to come here would help is a mystery.
Im hoping he’s not serious, it would mean some kind of boarder around London, London specific immigration infrastructure, a new boarder force etc
Yeah brexit was a fuck up, but this is hardly the solution
If enough people have moved from abroad to London that it’s now more than a 1/3 of the city’s population and it is still not sufficient to run the city properly then how many more are required?
London is already pretty full such that it’s more or less impossible to buy a house or even rent one alone without sharing with a bunch of strangers. If public services are creaking then is adding more people really going to be helpful?
Not to mention, how would you administer a London visa anyway? It’s as if the Northern Ireland border issue wasn’t enough and we want to create a new one as a big ring around London.
Doesn’t London already have a housing crisis as is?
I think that’s fair as long as counties like Gwynedd and Cornwall can set limits on emigrating Londoners for exactly the same reasons of retaining skilled workers to run essential services.
“London isn’t enough of an overpopulated, depraved, bordering on third-world shithole, and I want to change that!”

No. There is a housing crisis in London, there isn’t enough homes for the population that already live here. The last thing London needs is more immigrants living 25 people to one house in order to line the pockets of slum landlords and employers who want cheap labour at the expense of everyone else.
Khan wants more immigrants for a gerrymandered reason.
He’s also banned advertising that displays bikini clad women. I wonder why?
He’s also banned advertising for certain food products. I wonder why?
He’s also stated he wants London to be independent. I wonder why?
He’s also voted in mainly by a certain demographic. I wonder why?
