What a wasted occasion, very flat song with very little act. Cherine was the only right choice to have a chance in Liverpool.
Imo there were better options.. But good luck!

Typical eurotrash song that we heard over and over again in the nillies. The type of song the UK came up with on a blue monday and ended last place with.

Poor Flanders. Never allowing something that might be special or challenging, because it might be considered arrogant. Poor Gala Dragot.

De ‘zero to hero story’ doet het ‘em toch weer in Vlaanderen. Van achter een gordijn naar een echte podium queen. Ge kunt die man dat toch enkel gunnen.
Ook niet mijn keuze maar ik zie het mij met wat alcohol op wel meeschreeuwen op de dansvloer. Cherine heeft het weggegeven met slechte vocals en junior Eurosong staging. Dat gaan de Vlaamse VRT kijkers niet belonen. Gala is denk ik te speciaal van persoonlijkheid voor de gemiddelde Vlaming.

Whether it’ll do good for Eurosong is unknown, but it will be quite popular in the UK, I’m sure.. and the other songs were utterly bad.. and this garbage Gen-Z non-music (Gala Dragot a la Billie Eilish) was perhaps one of the worst things I’ve ever seen blown up to this level..
If this is the best we could find, then we should just give it to Wallonia permanently. I’d be surprised if this even qualifies for the final.

I’d be fine with a mediocre or even bad song if they at least tried… But they don’t.
Lots of other countries regularly send something unique or different. Sometimes that works out well, other times it completely flops. But at least they’re trying. Countries like Belgium (and also Germany, the UK…) are sucking all fun out of the show by sending the blandest, most generic songs year after year.
To be clear, I’m not saying we should only send silly songs. Acts can also stand out by being very classy, like Portugal 2017 or France 2021. These are very slow and serious songs, but they did very well because these artists are clearly very passionate about the music they’re making. Meanwhile, every single song selected by the VRT lacks any artistic vision whatsoever, except for “this is what Eurovision songs are supposed to sound like, right?”

Hunter Falls: ronduit slecht over de hele lijn. Terecht laatst.
Loredana: passé nummer en act. Jammer want Loredana heeft imo wel de nodige zangcapaciteit.
Ameerah: act valt positief op maar lied zelf verre van fameus
Cherine: dat decor alleen al, en nog niet goed gezongen ook niet. Halfweg haar performance letterlijk verder gespoeld. Hebben wij daarmee iets gemist dat die hoge score van de jury moet verantwoorden?
Gala Dragot: had hier een er op of er onder gevoel. kan mij inbeelden dat dit ver uit de comfort zone is voor het gemiddeld vrt publiek
The Starlings: was dit de getipte favoriet? Deftig gezongen maar dit nummer met deze act is gewoon direct vergeten tussen al het spektakel, absurditeit en geweld op een eurosong. Kansloos
Gustaph: Kan zingen, liedje heeft iets catchy maar is zeker niet geweldig. Act is momenteel wel verschrikkelijk maar daar kan (hopelijk?!) nog stevig aan gewerkt worden …
Gaan we met Gustaph winnen? Absoluut niet ^(maar willen we dat stiekem wel want weet ge wel hoeveel tijd en geld dat kost?) Gaan we daarmee ons met flauw kattengejank belachelijk maken en als laatste eindigen, ik veracht het niet.
Ik gok op eindigen *ergens in de middenmoot, zoals we de mensen in dit landje zo graag hebben™*. Dat is als we door de semifinale geraken natuurlijk …
Had the starlings picked Oceanside they would have gotten more from the judges I am very certain of that. Rollercoaster was just an ed sheeran song, still voted for them tho, thought they were just plain the best. Gustaph was my second choice, but first if it was in Germany for obvious silly reasons.
First time in a long while that I have to say ‘yikes’ at a Belgian entry into Eurovision. I thought we were past this phase?
Maybe it will grow on me once he improves his act, or when I’ve heared the song more often, but first impressions are important for Eurovision.
Vrt thought it was a good idea to choose the wonner with a big show again? Back to the typical terrible tackybsongs we sent in the 90s, 2000sand early 2010s it is then. There´s a reason why they stopped doing that, but apparently they forgot it. Flemish popular culture is very bad taste.
This will be embarrassing. Luckily Francophone Belgium sends good songs now and then.
