To be fair it’s quite a long journey from London to Leeds via rail.
In other news, Sunak was the chancellor when the eastern leg of HS2 was dropped, which would have chopped around an hour off the journey time from London to Leeds via rail.
Probably cheaper than getting a return train ticket if you didn’t book in advance.
He’s the PM, is this really so shocking? I’d love to see Biden sat at the back of a greyhound bus.
He was just worried they might be on strike, that’s all…
Let’s not have a go at Sunak for this one. The Tories have destroyed the rail network, why would they get the train?
Isn’t Rishi like the country’s CEO, the VIP, the big dog of all so his time is kind of important and not to be wasted? I am guessing that’s why the entourage flew instead of wasting time on the roads.
Do the UK practice police escort where they clear roads for a few minutes in advance and let the VIP go through, or does the VIP queue like everyone else?
I’d rather a PM spend as little time travelling as possible and more time doing, I don’t see the issue
This way Tricky Rishi managed to avoid all those nasty working class johnnies who might have had a word or two in his multimillionaire lugholes
Untill we invent devices to keep in contact with others whilst travelling best for important people to spend as little time as possible travelling
Downing Street would defend Rishi Sunak flying, but it is almost impossible to justify it, even for them…
